sword because its one handed and you can use a shield....and with certain skills can execute pretty quick

The mighty hammer is where it's at. I think I was getting criticals of 120 dmg last time I used it, and I'm level 15.

Although I like the sword, there are way too many firey dragon sword warriors running around (me included

). I like to be able to have a shield with my warrior so that rules out the hammer. Therefore, my vote is for the axe. Most of them are pretty cool looking to boot.

You never specified if this was for PvE or PvP.

However, I voted for axe because it is relatively powerful in both PvP and PvE. However, if you were doing PvP I would vote for hammer instead.

My warrior is about to come out of pre so my experience is very limited. But so far he's liking axe best. But he is looking forward to the sweet hammer that is waiting for him once he gets some hammer skills unlocked.

Sword from what I have seen just doesnt seem to pack the punch of axe or hammer. And axe has good rapid attacks. But there is just something about massive blunt damage.

I have two W/Mo's. One Male Lvl20+ and one Female Lvl16. Both are using max dmg hammers and I like it when using hammer bash to knock the enemy on their butts! 8 )

I have tried swords, and axes. If not for a hammer the axe would be my next choice.

I use an axe for my warrior/monk the hammers are to slow, the swords have the best skills IMO but the axe I have just rocks so I stick with it

Hammer is the best, based on this skill:

Backbreaker: Elite Hammer Attack. If Backbreaker hits, you strike for +21 damage (at hammer mastery 16) and your target is knocked down for 4 seconds.

4 seconds where your opponent lay on the ground, doing nothing. Backbreaker takes 10 adrenaline, so I take "For Great Justice!" and "To the Limit" to build it up quick. Also, blindness will make it difficult to build up adrenaline, so take a skill to fix that, such as the Ranger's "Antidote Signet".

Also take:

Irresistible Blow: If this attack hits, you strike for +32 damage. If Irresistable Blow is "blocked",your target is knocked down and takes 32 damage. Irresistable Blow cannot be "evaded". (with hammer mastery 16)

This is effective in both PvE and PvP. While most warriors are ignored in PvP, once you knock down the caster for 4 seconds, people start paying attention to you.

i use sword because I got a really sweet gold drop....but after reading some of these posts I may give hammer a try.
